Cyanotype Scarf Workshop

3 hour workshop at participant-hosted location
Cost per participant $125
min 10 participants

Led by local artist and educator, Bregan Ford, this workshop includes all materials and instruction necessary for each participant to complete one ~21” x 21” silk scarf.

What's a cyanotype?
Cyanotypes are an early photography technique where objects are placed directly onto pre-treated paper or fabric before exposing it to the sun. Once an exposure is made, the objects are removed, and the print is washed to reveal a stunning array of blues and whites.

What to expect.
Participants will receive a relaxed overview of the cyanotype process, including discussion and exploration of how different objects print, before beginning their design. Participants choose from a selection of provided materials and are strongly encouraged to bring items of their own to include, creating a truly custom piece.

Seasonal N/A refreshments provided.

Please note: This workshop requires a location with access to a low light space, sunlight, and running water.
